§ 109-1. Comprehensive plan adoption.

  • (a)

    Pursuant to Wis. Stats. § 62.23(2) and (3), the town is authorized to prepare and adopt a comprehensive plan as defined in Wis. Stats. §§ 66.1001(1)(a) and 66.1001(2).

    (b)

    The town board has adopted written procedures designed to foster public participation in every stage of the preparation of a comprehensive plan as required by Wis. Stats. § 66.1001(4)(a).

    (c)

    The plan commission of the town by a majority vote of the entire commission recorded in its official minutes, has adopted a resolution recommending to the town board the adoption of the document entitled "Comprehensive Plan of the Town of Harrison," containing all of the elements specified in Wis. Stats. § 66.1001(2).

    (d)

    The town has held at least one public hearing on the ordinance from which this section is derived, in compliance with the requirements of Wis. Stats. § 66.1001(4)(d).

    (e)

    The town board does, by enactment of the ordinance from which this section is derived, formally adopt the document entitled, "Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan of the Town of Harrison," pursuant to Wis. Stats. § 66.1001(4)(c).

    (f)

    The town board does, by enactment of the ordinance from which this subsection (f) is derived, formally adopt amendments to the Future Land Use Map #13 of the comprehensive plan of the town, pursuant to Wis. Stats. § 66.1001(4)(c).

    (g)

    This chapter shall take effect upon passage by a majority vote of the members-elect of the town board and publication/posting as required by law.
